Sanctuaria is raising the “BAR” with its Certified Mixology Staff


Saint Louis, MO (November 4, 2011) – Sanctuaria, voted as one of Saint Louis’ TOP 10 BEST NEW RESTAURANTS, TOP 50 LATE NIGHT DINING RESTAURANTS in the US and nominated for the WORLDS BEST COCKTAIL MENU, has become the PREMIERE cocktail bar in the city.   With their Second Anniversary fast approaching, they have taken the Saint Louis cocktail scene to a whole new level with their Exclusive “Members Only Cocktail Club”, “Cocktails on Tap” and house-made liqueur, bitters  and syrups featured in their original creations. Matt Seiter, Bar Manager and Chief Liquor Officer, is a United States Bartenders’ Guild Advanced Bartender – one of four in the nation.  With only one more level to complete before becoming a Master Mixologist, Matt will have completed the USBG Master Accredidation Program.

Joel Clark, another Mixologist, is BarSmarts Certified.  BarSmarts Advanced is a by-invitation-only program and is the only comprehensive spirits, mixology and service education and certification program available today. The program is designed to take basic bar skills to an advanced level.

Lindsay Baker, the newest addition to the mixology team, recently passed her Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS) Exam. The CSS Exam is a certification program offered by The Society of Wine Educators and is widely recognized and regarded by the international wine and spirits industry.

Ryan Wilmsmeier and Tim Rabior, also part of the award-winning team, will be taking their BarSmarts Exam later this year.  Upon completion, the entire mixology staff will be BarSmarts Certified.
