St. Louis Craft Beer Week features “Meet the Cathedral Square Brewmaster” events at Diablitos Cantina and Sanctuaria

Saint Louis, MO (July 18, 2012) – Cathedral Square Brewery is hosting a “Meet the Brewmaster” event at Diablitos Cantina and Sanctuaria, as part of St. Louis Craft Beer Week.  Brian Neville will be on site to educate Cathedral Square connoisseurs about the brewing process, their products, upcoming events and answer questions to ease the minds of beer drinkers everywhere.

Brian has been a professional brewer for more than 15 years. He spent 3 years as a consultant doing installations and recipe formulations for start up breweries in numerous states. He was a managing partner and brewmaster for Spanish Peaks Brewing Company, makers of Black Dog Ale, for 10 years.  When Spanish Peaks merged with US Beverage, he returned from California to St. Louis and teamed up with In Good Company, LLC to get Cathedral Square Brewery up and running.

Diablitos Cantina’s “Meet the Brewmaster” event will take place on Tuesday July 31, 2012 from 7pm – 9pm.  Enjoy Cathedral Square pints for $2.00 each, as well as “Hail Mary Drunken Salsa” (roasted tomatoes, sweet corn, black beans, poblano peppers and Cathedral Square Hail Mary Belgian-Style IPA) and “Avocado Salad with Iglesia Agave Vinaigrette” (Avocado salad with romaine lettuce, oranges and walnuts topped with Iglesia Agave Ale house made vinaigrette).

Sanctuaria’s  “Meet the Brewmaster” event will take place on Thursday August 2, 2012 from 7pm – 9pm.  Enjoy Cathedral  Square pints for $3.00 each, as well as “Belgian White Ice Cream” (house made ice cream using Cathedral Square Belgium-Style White Ale with fresh fruit compote) and “Abbey Ale Braised Pork Belly (pork belly braised with Cathedral Square Belgian-Style Abbey Ale, served with ginger carrot purée).

The 2012 Craft Beer Week kicks off on July 28th and culminates on August 5th. This year St. Louis Craft Beer Week is a group of breweries, distributors, restaurants, bars, retail outlets, and beer fans all working together to promote and enjoy craft beer.  Each night of this event will provide an opportunity to talk to brewers, pair food and beer, advocate local beer, and meet other beer enthusiasts. This is your chance to really see everything that the St. Louis beer scene has to offer.  It’s about libation and education.
