Best Drink Menu – 2012

BEST OF ST. LOUIS – 2012

SANCTUARIA – BEST DRINK MENU

Sanctuaria’s Matt Seiter has been one of the leading lights of St. Louis’ surging mixology scene for several years now, and people outside of town are starting to take notice: He was a finalist for the bartending contest at this year’s “Paris of the Plains Cocktail Festival” in Kansas City, and last summer, the restaurant’s “Cocktail Club” menu was one of four finalists for “World’s Best Drink Selection” at the annual Tales of the Cocktail festival in New Orleans. The club menu alone is stunning, some 150 cocktails that trace the history of mixology from its classy earlier days to its current resurgence.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Joel Clark, of Sanctuaria, in GQ Magazine – Congratulations!

Saint Louis, MO (December 9, 2011) – Sanctuaria, voted as one of Saint Louis’ TOP 10 BEST NEW RESTAURANTS and recently nominated for the WORLD’S BEST COCKTAIL MENU, would like to congratulate “Spirits Guide” Joel Clark, on being one of 46 finalists in the United States to compete in the “Most Inspired Bartender” contest, held at the Fifth Annual USBG Bartender Summit presented by Bombay Sapphire Gin, GQ Magazine and Ted Baker. “Bollywood Nights”, one of Clark’s original creations, won the St. Louis Regional contest and advanced him to the Nationals in Sin City.

As featured in the December issue of GQ Magazine, when asked “What do you think gives you your own personalized style?” Clark replied “Because I’ve always been an avid reader, a musician and studied art in undergrad.  I’ve been told my drink prep is very rhythmic.  I also like to keep things light behind the bar, because life is too short and my shift is too long not to.”

Two St. Louis restaurants named best for late night dining

St. Louis Business Journal
Date: Tuesday, August 23, 2011, 5:54pm CDT

Restaurants Lola downtown and Sanctuaria in the Central West End were voted among the top 50 restaurants nationwide for late-night dining.

OpenTable, the restaurant reservation website, derived its Diners’ Choice Awards from more than 10 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners between August 2010 and July 2011.  The reviews covered more than 12,000 restaurants in 50 states and the District of Columbia.

New York City had four restaurants on the list, as did Atlanta and Orlando. Minneapolis, Los Angeles and San Francisco each had three, and Chicago and Nashville joined St. Louis with two apiece.

“This year’s award-winning restaurants are magnets for night owls, show-goers seeking supper, foodies searching to satisfy a culinary craving, and restaurant industry professionals celebrating the end of a shift,” Caroline Potter, OpenTable’s chief dining officer, said in a statement.
