LOUIS by St. Louis Magazine, is proud to announce the release of Sanctuaria’s first cocktail book “The Dive Bar of Cocktail Bars: How We Rewrote the Rules and Recipes One Cocktail at a Time” on December 11, 2012.  Within these pages, Seiter, recently named BARTENDER OF THE YEAR by Sauce Magazine,  will  divulge his secrets and stories behind the infamous Sanctuaria cocktail menu.  This no holds bar manual will provide step-by-step instructions allowing you to re-create the cocktails you’ve grown to love (or waiting to devour) while tasting your way through the extensive Cocktail Club.  Included in this tell all cocktail guide are tips and tricks of the trade for tinctures, bitters and other “secret” ingredients used to give your cocktails the mouth-watering goodness Sanctuaria delivers.

Additionally, Seiter explains his choice not to use mass marketed brands in the inventory at Sanctuaria, providing full access to his tasting notes for every spirit he chose.

To celebrate, Sanctuaria will be hosting a Cocktails by Candlelight event, sponsored by Camus Cognac, at 7pm on Monday December 10, 2012, Sanctuaria’s 3rd Anniversary.  Everyone who attends will receive a complimentary copy of “The Dive Bar of Cocktail Bars” a day before it is released to the public! In light of the effort, blood, sweat and tears that went into this monumental task, the theme of this Southside Backyard Party.  Sanctuaria would like to kick back, relax and celebrate with corn hole (bags), coolers of beer, backyard-style cocktails and Southside family fare such as center cut pork steaks topped with Sanctuaria’s Elijah Craig bourbon butterscotch glaze, Mostaccioli with meat sauce and smoked gouda, Ambrosia salad and more!  Tickets will be priced at $45.00 per person for Cocktail Club Members and $50.00 per person for non-members and will include all you can eat food and drink, as well as a sneak peek at Seiter’s book before it hits the shelves.  What better way can you think to spend your Monday night?
